With this foundation, he hopes to improve the lives of former, current and future cancer patients. <\/p><p>The money the foundation raises is used for scientific cancer research and cancer-related projects, so that people with cancer receive the right treatment. After all, with the right treatment, the chances of recovery are much greater. <\/p><p>The Maarten van der Weijden Foundation is of course inextricably linked to the Elfstedentocht, after Maarten swam the trip. You don&#8217;t have to imitate that achievement, but you can also contribute to the foundation through this way. We ourselves donate a contribution to the foundation with every <a href=\"https:\/\/camperelfstedentocht.nl\/en\/method\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">full stamp card<\/a>.
