Dive deeper into the art, culture and nature in Waterland of Friesland – Region Southwest Friesland – while driving the Camperelfstedentocht in November and you can possibly switch to The Other Friesland – Region Southeast Friesland.

Open House<\/h2>\n
18 museums are holding Open House in November. For example, go to Museum de Tiid (time in Frisian) in Bolsward, located in the nationally decorated town hall. Delve into the life of canonized Titus Brandsma or discover how the Frisian language originated in writing. Or discover Museum Joure: a surprising manufacturing museum, located on the birthplace of Douwe Egberts. In the Afsluitdijk Wadden Center, dive into an interactive experience exhibition about the (over)life of the Dutch in the Delta. In the Fries Scheepvaart Museum you will discover the history of shipping in Friesland, ice sports and the history of the city of Sneek. This museum was named Best Kidsproof Museum of Friesland in 2023! <\/div>\n
