Autumn has already arrived and Friesland is once again in beautiful autumn colors. The Camperelfstedentocht is the chance to travel at your own pace through the enchanting Frisian landscape and pass all eleven cities, each with their own charm and unique autumn activities. The Elfstedentocht that is rideable all year round

The Camperelfstedentocht is a great experience regardless of the season. Whether it’s spring, summer, fall or winter, it doesn’t matter! Explore the charming 11 cities of Friesland and enjoy the beautiful landscapes you will encounter along the way. So why wait any longer? Start your motorhome and let the adventure begin!

Stay overnight at participating RV sites

The Camperelfstedentocht is an initiative of 5 RV parks and other affiliated companies. To continue offering this route free of charge, we ask you to spend the night at the participating motorhome sites. By staying here, you not only have a chance to win great prizes, but you also indirectly support the Maarten van der Weijden Foundation, as the participating camper spots donate part of the proceeds.

The participating RV sites are“Camperplaats Leeuwarden” in Leeuwarden,“Camping en Jachthaven de Domp” in Sneek,“Marina Stavoren Buitenhaven” in Stavoren,“Camping Sudersé” in Workum and“Camping de Zeehoeve” in Harlingen. Please note Marina Stavoren is closed and will reopen in April! The stamp is ready at the harbor office or at Camperplaats Leeuwarden.

Open Museum Month

From Nov. 4 to Dec. 3, 19 museums in Friesland open their doors. Visitors can visit a museum for free with an Open Museum Month voucher. This is the perfect opportunity to discover art, culture and nature of Waterland and Southeast Friesland. Get your voucher at Camping de Domp in Sneek and get your stamp! See more information here.

Skittering Autumn

An autumn walk through the Frisian cities is the ideal way to shop and discover. Be surprised by atmospheric little streets, brimming with unique boutiques and artisan stores.
