Would you like to see the many sides of Friesland by bike? Friesland has four national parks and two national landscapes. Are you also a nature lover? Then now is the time to get on your bike and explore the beautiful nature of Friesland in summer. Or maybe you want to do one through Southwest Friesland.

For Frisian regional products, go to Ut Streekie in Leeuwarden! It is located near the Oldenhove. In this souvenir shop, you will find all kinds of products that are made in a traditional way in Friesland or on the Wadden Islands. Think of cheese, sausage, jam, special beers, Frisian drinks and of course a lots of Frisian and Dutch souvenirs. Do you also want to experience Bosk nice and active? Buy then in the museumstore of naturemuseum Fryslân your own Boskpack with various materials to go explore! With these materials you can look at how tall the trees are with your tree measurer, you can play the Bosk-bingo and find leaves, flowers and animals on a map. The Boskpack is also useful after your visit at the forest, you can use it then as a grow bag for the tree seeds that are in it. For all ages there are nice activities.

Boat trip
How nice is it at a sunny, summer day to do a boat trip on the Frysian waters? In Friesland we have enough opportunities for this! In Leeuwarden there is a watterroute project going on, namely, Inner Voice. This sound-art project has as goal to let everyone get quiet on a whisper boat, to reflect on how you relate to the soundstage of the environment and to regain the contact with nature by connecting to the sound. Tall Ships Races
This summer it is finally the time again! Harlingen receives again world most beautiful Tall Ships with their international crew and trainees. At this event return yearly numerous Tall Ships back from over the entire world since 1956. During this event entire Harlingen will be covered in nautical spheres. The tall ships races will arrive at Harlingen on 14th of July.
