CamperElfstedentocht: fun for eleven and more

The CamperElfstedentocht, an initiative of Camperplaats Leeuwarden, is meant for camper drivers who want to get to know the Frisian eleven cities this way. Fine to drive alone, but eleven times more fun if you do it with a group of – of course – eleven campers. No, we do not drive after each other, but on the way and in the evening we meet each other of course. The advantage of such an organized trip, which of course starts in week eleven? First of all the conviviality, but above all: extra activities can be organized that you don’t have driving solo!

The route being driven is the same as the skaters. There will be overnight stays at five or six RV sites and campsites, starting and ending in Leeuwarden. A few places are visited by camper, but most are visited by bicycle. Of course there is a stamp card on which eleven Frisian cities are stamped afterwards.

Organized Camper Trip

A few examples of the extras you can expect with the annually organized CamperElfstedentocht are a guided tour of Leeuwarden, a liqueur tasting, a tour of a beer brewery and a sawmill, and a “coffee-with-pie party” at an Argentinian coffee specialist.

Some reactions from participants in 2023: ‘Very much enjoyed this very well organized trip.’ ‘Thank you very much, it was perfect.’ ‘Thanks for the nice trip.’ ‘It was great.’
